Mainstream Mani Monday- China Glaze Treble Maker

This is China Glaze's Treble Maker, from the 2015 Electric Nights collection.

I love this green! And the formula was really good- kind of squishy, though it's not a jelly or a crelly really.

Here's a super close up- hopefully you can see the squishiness, lol.

I did 2 coats- the first was a little patchy, but the second coat fixed that right up- I did do a thicker second coat.

Isn't this a great green polish? This is what I would have worn for St. Patrick's Day, if I had had time to do a St. Patrick's Day mani. I had plans to do one, but time got away from me.  So here it is,  and I highly recommend it!

Nail Mail- Amazing Makeup Alley Friend!!!

This was such amazing nail mail! I have been wanting the L'Oreal Paris Le Vernis A L'Huile nail polish that wasn't released in the US.

An amazing MUA (Makeup Alley) friend, Hybrid,  was going to Canada and offered to pick some up for me!

Here they are!  Aren't the bottles gorgeous?????

L-r  Vert Epoque,  Fuchsia Palace, and Violet Vendome. They are all cream polishes, which intimidate me, but I am willing to risk it for the gorgeous bottles!!!

And then she texted me pictures of the Essence Out of Space Stories polishes, so I had her get some of those too, lol.

I got  Intergalactic Adventure, Space Glam, Beam Me Up, and 1000 Light Years Away. These were super inexpensive, and I haven't tried them yet, but they look so cool!!!!



If you don't know what Makeup Alley is, you should go check it out. I've been a member there for almost 13 years (actually probably more, I think I had to create a new account back in the day, lol), on both the nail board and the makeup board. You get tons of advice, lots of lemmings, lol, and make a ton of friends. Even though I don't know them IRL, I truly love my MUA friends, and rely on them for advice and fun.

Try It Tuesday- Nine Zero Lacquer Croatoan (on a Wednesday because I was sick yesterday!)

First, let's get this out of the way- this is NOT a good color for me! But it's part of Nine Zero's Supernatural collection called Men of Letters (love that reference from Season 8) she put out in Fall 2016. It's a really awesome collection, with different finishes and colors, I highly recommend them- really, all of the Nine Zero polishes I have (I have 28 of them) are awesome!

This one is Croatoan, named after an early episode- Croatoan is a demonic blood virus, in case you didn't know.

It's a gorgeous holographic- and a pretty color, but I just don't love it on me. The formula was great, easy 2 coater.

Mainstream Mani Monday- Zoya Tulip

I am a big fan of Zoya polishes- but this one was not for me.

First, this is just not my kind of color, giving me lobster hands.

The formula was patchy, which isn't that unusual for a lighter color.

I did 3 coats, which is fine, and does look very orange, but it's a smidge more pink irl. There is a little bit of shimmer in it, which I like.

All in all, meh- it'd be a purge, if that was a thing I did, lol.

Nail Mail February Polish Pickup- Sweets and Treats

The February theme for Polish Pickup was Sweets and Treats. I don't know how I did it, but somehow I kept it to 2 bottles and a lip balm.

If you haven't checked out Polish Pickup yet, let me enable you. It's a TON of indie makers who make polishes and other things (wax, lip balm, etc.) around a single theme each month (like February was Sweets and Treats).  The online shop is open the first weekend of every month, from Friday at 11 am EST to some time the following Monday. Then they're gone forever. And even better, shipping is only $3- even if you make multiple orders (the shipping is charged on the subsequent orders, but then refunded as they start shipping orders out).

I have gotten to try new brands, and fall in love with new polishes!


Look how beautiful!

First, the lip balm from Contrary. You can't tell from this picture, but it's a berry tint, and tastes like Gummy Bears!!!  The color is gorgeous, deep but sheer, and it tastes so good!  The Supernatural Lacquer on the right is called Dark Hearts, after the Cadbury dark hearts. I love Supernatural polishes, and she does purples sooooo well!

And the Girly Bits!!!! OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!! This was called "I Licked it, so it's Mine," based on Unicorn Bark, which looks like one piece would rot your teeth right out of your head, lol. But even if it weren't an amazingly gorgeous polish, I almost had to have it because of the name!

My dilemma with this order is that I IMMEDIATELY wanted to put on the Girly Bits polish and never, ever take it off. However, my rule for last year and this year is to wear all untried polish. And I think this would be the perfect polish for my vacation in July, because it's gorgeous, and being a glitter would probably wear really really well. So I'm trying to hold out to wear it in a few months, and believe me, you'll see it!!

Also, spoiler alert, I went crazy for Polish Pickup in March, so there's that....lol.

Try it Tuesday- Lollipop Posse Midway Madness

If you haven't tried Lollipop Posse Lacquer, I highly recommend them. Look at this gorgeous polish. And all her polishes are like this (gorgeous).   This is Midway Madness, their Road to Polish Con polish for Chicago 2017 Polish Con. I think I bought it at Black Friday (there are 3 polishes and I have them all, this one, Funhouse Frenzy and Cotton Candy Chaos- you'll see them all eventually, lol).

This is so bright! I got so many compliments on this polish. It's this great blue, and there are hot pink flakie glitter thingies in it!!!! So beautiful. This macro really shows the pink glitters well.

It was opaque in 2 easy coats, I did use 2 coats of top coat just to smooth it out. It wore really well, even with a lot of typing, lol.

Her Facebook fan group is Lollipop's Posse, she does fun things for her peeps.

Mainstream Mani Monday- Zoya Leslie

This is Zoya Leslie. It's sheer but surprisingly it ended up good at 2 thickish coats.

Can you see the black fuzzies from my background? LOL

I'm not the hugest fan of this color on my skintone, but it didn't cause lobster hands, so that's good.

You can see the shimmer a little bit in this macro.                                                                

Overall, another good Zoya polish! I love that when Zoya has a good sale you can pick them up for cheap, and their formulas are consistently good, and they have some unique polishes!
