Nail Mail- Colores de Carol Spring Thermals

I've recently hopped on the Colores de Carol bandwagon, not sure what took me so long! She has great polishes.

Thermals are big this year (the thermal craze will probably die down a bit in the summer, when heat will "kill" the thermal effect, these are best shipped in not hot months!), and Colores de Carol did a spring thermal collection. I ordered 2 of them, and then one more for good measure!

Left is the non spring collection one, S'mores with a Twist, it looks like such a pretty darker neutral. Then is Azalea, a beige (warm) to pink (cold, what you see in my picture) thermal, and Aviv, a pink (warm) to purple (what you see in the bottle) thermal.

I love thermals, I have enough free edge to really get a change and see the transition!

Nail Mail Colores de Carol

Colores de Carol is a newer brand to me. I went to check out their website, and they had a polish for the Chinese New Year, Year of the Dog. I am a dog! So I had to get it. And it needed a friend, so I got Santa's Swimsuit.

Valentine's Day Mani!

I saw this Colores de Carol polish and had to have it. HAD TO HAVE IT! It's called Free Love. It was part of a duo (the other polish is a super gorgeous purple called Spoiled. I may have to have that one too.......a low buy is hard, not gonna lie).

This is a light pink crelly with teeny tiny red metallic glitter, red hex glitters, white square glitters- tons of cool stuff.

So light pink polishes make me look like I have lobster hands, as evidenced clearly in this picture, but I truly didn't care, because I love this polish.


This was opaque in 2 coats, and it was super easy to work with. I have a love/hate relationship with crellies, as often they just are so freaking sheer (I'm looking at you, KB Shimmer Neon Me- 4 coats!!! Really!!!).

This wasn't streaky or patchy, just two easy coats and I got tons of glitter and great coverage. It wasn't even lumpy, like some can be- I did 1 coat of Glisten and Glow top coat. Here's a macro, you can see all the cool stuff this polish has in it!

So then I stamped over it- and that was an adventure, let me tell you. I haven't stamped in a long while!

I first tried to do a heart and dot pattern, using a purple mini Mundo de Unas stamping polish (Undo de Munas is a Mexican brand of stamping polish, and the stamping polishes smell like car paint, be warned, but they work great!), and my Born Pretty Store clear stamper. I don't know if it was the polish, the plate or the stamper, but it did not work. At all. So I had to take everything off, re-polish my nail, then wait to stamp, lol. I didn't wait long enough, and I stamped too soon and smooshed it, and had to re-paint again.  While waiting for my nails to dry, I tried out my red Mundo de Unas polish, and a different image (same stamping plate). I couldn't use a different stamper, this is my only clear stamper, and I needed that to line up my image.

So I did hearts- and in my hurry to finish up the nail I had to re-do, I stamped my hearts the opposite way I did the other nail. Oh well!!!

I'm going to try to get better at stamping!!
