Nail Mail - Vapid

Vapid had a release of new polishes in April (2018), and so I picked up a few, plus one of the Vapicorn polishes I didn't get the first time around!

I love the looks of these polishes, and Vapid always has good formulas!

I'm not sure what is going on with the shipping, I was charged $8, and I thought I might get some back in a refund, but I'm pretty sure I didn't. I know they say you will never pay more than $8 (in the US), but $8 is a lot for 4 polishes, I think. Now, if I had added some body stuff in, that weighs a lot, and then the $8 is a good deal. But I didn't need any body stuff this time.

Oh well!

Nail Mail - Pretty Serious part 2

Sooooo, this happened! I got woken up by our dog at 3:30 am on a Saturday morning (yay!!), and I went down to let him out.

While I was waiting for him to come back in, I hopped on Facebook, and saw a posting in the Pretty Serious Facebook Fan Group Pretty Serious Party People that they had discounted their clearance/last chance polishes even more, so I went to look!!

And so I bought the whole Pretty Serious Consider Outer Space collection, plus the classic shade Bloody Bride, and the beautiful Messenger of the Titans. All this for just over $40!! Free shipping over $40, too.

Nail Mail- Pretty Serious

Pretty Serious had a sale, and I placed an order. Of course I did, lol.  They had an issue with their lab and getting things sent to them, so it took like 2 months to get to me. They did post updates, and were very responsive customer service wise!

I love Pretty Serious polishes (except Free Sample. I hate that polish, lol. Maybe I'll try thinner....but I digress...), so I didn't mind waiting, and when it got to me they had a code for $10 off a future order.

They have free shipping over $40, which I love, and they do have some great sales!

Nail Mail - Starrily

I made a random order from Starrily- they had a 15% off code, and so I thought what the heck, lol. They made a really black polish they named Vantablack. This is what Vantablack really is (from Wikipedia).

Vantablack is the trademarked name for a chemical substance made of vertically aligned carbon nanotube arrays and is the darkest artificial substance known, absorbing up to 99.965% of radiation in the visible spectrum.

I hear that Vantablack is a one-coater, but haven't tried it. The other is a magnetic polish, Andromeda, that I'm excited to try too!

Nail Mail - April Polish Pickup

So for April's Polish Pickup I went a ~leeeeetle bit~ crazy. I placed 3 orders, because I talked myself into more things (like that was hard, lol).

The theme for April was Space, and there were some cool polishes to be had!

Here are the polishes I got

L-r Illyrian War Stars, KB Shimmer Hubbled Together, Necessary Evil I am Starstuff, Polished for Days Solar Flare, Emily de Molly Created by Man, Quixotic Polish To the Moon and Back, and Vibrant Vinyls Galactic Unicorn Fast Dry top coat (not pictured). 

I also got Lilly Anne's Garden lotion, it's super thick, and I really like it!

So far the only thing I've tried besides the lotion is the top coat from Vibrant Vinyls- I liked it just fine. I will say, that the scent stays with you for days (and unfortunately I don't love the scent of this, but I don't hate it, either).

I also gave DS10 the Use the Force Sphere I got from Turtle Tootsie- it is a soap ball with a little Star Wars figurine inside. I don't have a picture of it as he's already using it! Anything to get him to use actual soap in the shower!

If you don't know what Polish Pickup is, you should stop reading right now because it is amazing and you will need ALL THE POLISH! And you will have NONE OF THE MONIES! LOL

Basically, the first weekend of every month (though they're taking July off), lots of indie polish makers (like 50+????) make amazing polishes and other things (hand care, jewelry, in April there was even an eye shadow and colored lip balm) based around a theme. You buy them from the website, shipping in the US is $3, and if you make multiple orders, they refund the additional shipping (meaning, no matter how many orders you place, you only pay $3 shipping!)

June's theme is Video Games, and you can be sure there are a ton of cool polishes (there always are!). This is the Facebook group, too, Polish Pickup Pack where you can see all the sneak peeks and blogger info.

Nail Mail Powder Perfect

Okay, we obviously know I have a ~problem~ with nail polish, and it's a problem I LOVE! LOL.

So Powder Perfect had one more sale before closing up for a little while due to a maternity leave (I love that! Such a fun reason to not be working!!), so of course I had to support a fellow mom, and I made one last order!

As a reminder, Powder Perfect makes one of my most favorite polishes of all time, Utopia.

So I had to get some more! I was putting in my order, and kind of balked at the shipping (it was $11 or something like that), but the sale was so good it waaaay more than made up for it. So I placed my order, and then a day or so later I got a shipping refund to my PayPal, so my shipping was only like $6.  And shipping was sooo fast for all my Powder Perfect orders!

Nail Mail- Pahlish foils and more!!

Pahlish has come out with some new foils, their 6th anniversary polish, and a polish celebrating 1001 people in their Facebook fan group, Pahlish Lovers.  I enjoy Pahlish polishes, and there were some others I needed, lol.


First are the "special"polishes, 1001 Flowers and Gumdrop Mountain. 1001 Flowers was the polish made to celebrate the FB fan group, and Gumdrop Mountain celebrates their 6th anniversary.

Then we have Kawaii, on the left, which is a multichrome flakie polish, Phlox (an older foil), and French Lavender

Then we have 2 more foils, Black Forest and Honeysuckle

And 2 Bespoke Batch polishes!

Nail Mail Vapid- My Little Vapicorns

Vapid Lacquer did a spring collections called My Little Vapicorns. I got a couple, plus 2 thermals!

L-r   Fling-a hot pink to lighter pink thermal, Fizzlepop Berrytwist!, See, Now You're Thinking Like a Pony, and Clique, a purple to pink thermal.

The rest of the collection were gorgeous, too, another pink, a yellow and a green pastel- I may pick those up at some point too. You really can't go wrong with Vapid!

Nail Mail- Colores de Carol Spring Thermals

I've recently hopped on the Colores de Carol bandwagon, not sure what took me so long! She has great polishes.

Thermals are big this year (the thermal craze will probably die down a bit in the summer, when heat will "kill" the thermal effect, these are best shipped in not hot months!), and Colores de Carol did a spring thermal collection. I ordered 2 of them, and then one more for good measure!

Left is the non spring collection one, S'mores with a Twist, it looks like such a pretty darker neutral. Then is Azalea, a beige (warm) to pink (cold, what you see in my picture) thermal, and Aviv, a pink (warm) to purple (what you see in the bottle) thermal.

I love thermals, I have enough free edge to really get a change and see the transition!

Nail Mail- Supernatural Lacquer Mysteries!

Supernatural had a Spring Cleaning sale, and she had listings for mystery overpours of her Polish Pickup polishes, and mystery overpours of some box exclusive polishes, along with other polishes. She also had a sale on her cuticle oil rollerballs, which I love! So this is what I got.

I'm so glad I got this, I debated in March and ultimately decided not to purchase it while PP was going, and then regretted it!  So glad I have this! Then next is What's This- this was from a Nightmare Before Christmas duo by Supernatural Lacquer and Le Polish. I already have this, though I can't remember when I got it- maybe a mystery for Black Friday? So I'll give this to a polish buddy, and then last but not least is Oops batch G.

Love Supernatural Lacquer, I have 30 of them (not counting the second What's This, lol). I love them all!

Nail Mail- well, Polish from Sally's!!

I went to Sally's the other day to pick up another Orly Nail Rescue. I LOVE this stuff! But I keep needing more of the nail glue, and they only sell it in the kit. I've tried other glues, but like this one the best.

Anyway, I digress. Of course they know me in my local Sally's, and the manager pointed out some polishes that were 49¢! So I got 4. Of course I did.

Nail Mail The Holo Hookup Box for February

I always said if I loved all the colors from the Holo Hookup Box, then I would buy it. The February 2017 box did it for me. The Cupcake was the first one that caught my eye, even though those gorgeous silvery colors don't look good on me, I'm drawn to them like a moth to a flame. This one has a pink shift, so it may not be as bad, lol. Then the other colors- oooooh. I knew it had to be mine.

It was rainy and cloudy, so the picture is with a flash. They are all holos, and the Cupcake has flakies in it. These are my first beyond the nail polish (I believe they're a Canadian brand), and my first Glisten and Glow polish (though I love their quick-dry top coat, used to be called HK girl, now it's just top coat, lol). I have a few Cupcake polishes (this makes 5), and with this one I now have 22 Different Dimensions.

These are perfect colors for Valentine's Day - or anti-Valentines Day, lol. Or all year. I really like that the pink isn't a super cool toned pink, and I think the Glisten and Glow will be a gorgeous red. And oh those flakies in the Cupcake!!!!! As I said, those slivery colors aren't always the best with my skin tone, but I am such a sucker for those kind of polishes.


I did buy the December 2016 box, I really wanted the shade Vivien, after Vivien Leigh, who is one of my all time favorite actresses (from my all time favorite movie, Gone with the Wind!), I kept Vivien and Audrey (the Different Dimension), and my friend who got me into nail polish took Grace (the Cupcake polish), and Mae (the Glisten and Glow).

Here is Vivien Leigh, so so beautiful.

And here is the box, just so you can see, picture/swatch by Lakkomlakkom (she has BEAUTIFUL nails!!! #goals!!!). That Different Dimension pink is a cool pink, so not the best for me, but I still love it, lol.

Nail Mail- Bee's Knees

I like Bee's Knees Lacquer, and they did a Crazy4Crellies custom in January called The Night Court (I already wore it and did a post on it! I forgot to post the nail mail first, lol).

I also got the Bee's Knees Color of the Month for January, We'll Never Bee Royals.

I just love the attention to detail that Bee's Knees does in their packaging! Such cute touches in the bag, candy and cute tchotchkes they put in there (see the unicorn eraser?).  I definitely will keep adding to my Bee's Knees collection!

Nail Mail - Powder Perfect

Powder Perfect had a sale- and then they had another sale- so I placed a couple orders. I'm a nail polish addict, what else would I do??? LOL  I believe the maker is going out on maternity leave, so that's fun!

Nail Mail- KB Shimmer Magnetic polishes!

Loads of makers are coming out with magnetic polishes, and KB Shimmer has a whole collection of them! Also, they've just rebranded and redid their logo, and I like the change. 

Also, suuuuuuper fast shipping! I ordered on a Thursday, got them the following Monday!! Amazing!!

So I got

No Comet, Orbits and Pieces, and Just a Phase- and I got the magnet too, love that it has a handle. I'm excited to try them!  And she always has such super cute, punny names.

Tonic Nail Mail #1 - the February releases!!!

Geez oh, so supposedly I'm on a no-buy and Tonic comes out with these gorgeous polishes!  It was really nice that they made this a pre-order, no ninja fingers needed, and they made the Unicorn Pee polishes available until the end of February, and the other new releases available through the end of March- this makes it so I can do 2 orders and split between 2 paychecks, lol.

This is Helpless (a magnetic), Bauble, Uniporn Adorned, Happenstance and Necromantic. I also got a magent for the magnetic polishes.

Nail Mail February Polish Pickup- Sweets and Treats

The February theme for Polish Pickup was Sweets and Treats. I don't know how I did it, but somehow I kept it to 2 bottles and a lip balm.

If you haven't checked out Polish Pickup yet, let me enable you. It's a TON of indie makers who make polishes and other things (wax, lip balm, etc.) around a single theme each month (like February was Sweets and Treats).  The online shop is open the first weekend of every month, from Friday at 11 am EST to some time the following Monday. Then they're gone forever. And even better, shipping is only $3- even if you make multiple orders (the shipping is charged on the subsequent orders, but then refunded as they start shipping orders out).

I have gotten to try new brands, and fall in love with new polishes!


Look how beautiful!

First, the lip balm from Contrary. You can't tell from this picture, but it's a berry tint, and tastes like Gummy Bears!!!  The color is gorgeous, deep but sheer, and it tastes so good!  The Supernatural Lacquer on the right is called Dark Hearts, after the Cadbury dark hearts. I love Supernatural polishes, and she does purples sooooo well!

And the Girly Bits!!!! OOOOOOOHHHHHH!!!! This was called "I Licked it, so it's Mine," based on Unicorn Bark, which looks like one piece would rot your teeth right out of your head, lol. But even if it weren't an amazingly gorgeous polish, I almost had to have it because of the name!

My dilemma with this order is that I IMMEDIATELY wanted to put on the Girly Bits polish and never, ever take it off. However, my rule for last year and this year is to wear all untried polish. And I think this would be the perfect polish for my vacation in July, because it's gorgeous, and being a glitter would probably wear really really well. So I'm trying to hold out to wear it in a few months, and believe me, you'll see it!!

Also, spoiler alert, I went crazy for Polish Pickup in March, so there's that....lol.
